The Lavender Project

The Lavender Project formed during the winter of 2020. Friends turned bandmates started an alternative hip-hop project that features a broad range of influences. This collaboration has produced songs sounding like indie rock, punk, disco, shoegaze, jazz, and pop with a strong through-line of hip-hop.

Lavender performances are powerful and high energy. They're inclusive and vibrant. MC's, Jet Hertz and Fernando Mendoza, bring strong positive vibes while instrumentalists Cassie Brady, Anthony Speer, and Shaylee Walsh create vast sonic landscapes.

The first songs were products of the pandemic lockdowns. Now in their 3rd year The Lavender Project has their sights on the recording studio.
