Minneapolis’ Rabeca never stays in one place for too long—each song meanders from meditative solos to upbeat drum shuffles and rich chordal harmonies. The quintet first joined forces for a living room cabaret performance in 2019 and have since played in and around the Twin Cities; Including stints at the Turf Club, 331, and even the Bakken Museum. Their music is regularly featured on Radio K and the Current. Drawing on their individual backgrounds in jazz big band, madrigal singing, and jam bands, Rabeca fuses improvisation with catchy hooks.
